These frequently-asked questions were assembled to help you understand Budget’s fast and friendly car rental process. If your question isn’t answered here, please contact us.

There are three options for retrieving a copy of your car rental agreement/receipt:

1.   E-mail:
      Hours: 24 hours Mon-Sun
      Complete and submit our customer service e-mail form and request a copy of your
      car rental receipt or rental agreement to be faxed or e-mailed to you.

2.   Phone - Automated Voice Response System:
      Hours: 24 hours Mon-Sun

      Instructions for a faxed receipt:
      Have your fax number handy and gather one of the following:

  • 9-digit rental agreement number
  • reservation number
  • phone number on your reservation
  • RapidRez Number

      Call 800-527-0700 and follow the automated voice prompts.

 

      Instructions for an e-mailed receipt:
      For this option, the rental must have included your RapidRez number and your
      RapidRez account must include your e-mail address.
      Sign in to your account to review your account e-mail address.

      Call 800-527-0700 and follow the automated voice prompts.

3.   Phone - Live Customer Service Representative:
      Hours: 7:30am-7:30pm Mon-Fri
      If you prefer to speak directly to a Customer Service Representative to have your
      rental agreement/receipt e-mailed or faxed to you, call 800-621-2844 and press option 5.

Each year the Budget team finds hundreds of cell phones, CDs, sunglasses and other personal items in our vehicles, and in our rental locations. If you've left a personal item behind, please be sure to call that same Budget location at the phone number listed on your rental agreement or submit a Lost Item Claim. Renters are responsible for their own personal items, and we highly recommend that you report any lost belongings at your earliest convenience. While we can’t promise the return of lost items, we’ll do our best to help you.

 

 To check your credits, sign in and view your Rent More, Save More statement. You should automatically receive the credit you deserve for an Eligible Rental within 72 hours after your rental is completed. If your Eligible Rental credit does not appear on your statement, request credit by completing our online Rent More, Save More Rental Credit Request form.

 

It has come to our attention that fraudulent direct mail marketing offers are being circulated to the public using the Budget logo without our permission. Some of these mailings also include the logos of various airlines. All are intended to mislead the recipient to believe that there is some connection between the sender, Budget, and often a particular airline.

These illegitimate offers usually arrive in an official-looking self-sealing envelope. They often purport to include roundtrip airfares and include a facsimile of a boarding pass on which the recipient's name appears. They invite the recipient to call an "800" number to redeem the tickets. They also purport to include a Budget rental. The return mailing addresses are those of various senders, among which is "World Wide Travel of Blue Springs, Maryland." Others are in Missouri and other states.

Be assured, Budget is not affiliated with any of the senders of these promotions, nor does it endorse or sponsor these offers. In such cases, the use of our logo and trademark is without our permission and in violation of our trademark rights. Our Legal Department continues to address this important matter.

If you receive an envelope that appears to include such an offer from Budget, but which you suspect to be fraudulent, please forward the entire envelope and its contents to Budget Rent A Car System, Inc., 6 Sylvan Way, Parsippany, NJ 07054 ATTN: Legal Department.

Such e-mails are intended to mislead the recipient to believe that there is some connection between the sender, Budget, and often a third party.

Be assured, Budget is not affiliated with any of the senders of these promotions, nor does it endorse or sponsor these offers. In such cases, the use of our logo and trademark is without our permission and in violation of our trademark rights. Our Legal Department has been addressing this matter.

If you receive an e-mail that appears to be from Budget, but which you suspect to be fraudulent, please forward the entire e-mail including the sender's address to Budget's Privacy Officer.
